Eating Raw Take #2


As predicted, I completely blew my raw diet this weekend…

Friday, I drank many ales and at 3 o\’clock in the morning I lost complete control of the battle and acquired, then quickly consumed 2 fried chicken breasts from The Palace of Fried Foodstuffs.

Saturday brought more savagery when I feasted on a burger laden with strips of bacon(no cheese though…) and pies made of spinach. Saturday faded into Sunday with 3 slices with pepperoni from Carmine\’s. The massacre finally ended with a milanesa de pollo torta and some Yeungling lagers on Sunday night.

Oh yeah, and a bag of Newman O\’s (organic oreos type cookies)

Bro, I fucked up…

It was weird, but none of this food really satisfied me. I think I ate out of anxiety or something. It kind of gives me hope for this week.

Anyways, it\’s Monday and I am back on track.


  • Lots of water
  • Watermelon Slices


  • Organic Green Salad with Baby Carrots, Spinach, Plum Tomatoes and Broccoli
  • More Water
  • More Watermelon

Day Five

Day 5: The Final Day?…

Holy shit, I can’t believe I made it 5 days without eating a single cooked meal! I thought for sure I would have snapped and bought a 20 piece buffalo wings from The Palace by now.

But alas, my raw food adventure may soon be coming to an end…

I have a feeling this will be my last day for 2 reasons: 1. Because it’s Friday and I need a beer. 2. Because it’s Friday and Jose El Rey is bringing the BASS to NYC.

If his performance at the Slipper Room is anything like his Miami shows, there will be pastelitos and Jupina on hand for everyone.
Bro, I can’t pass that shit up…

Speaking of Miami…  CSI Miami was on last night and I realized David Caruso has a hard time keeping his big ginger head from tilting to the side. It’s very distracting.

Only animals should be allowed to do this.

Oh yeah, Here’s what I’ve had to eat so far:

Day Four


Yesterday was hard. One of my neighbors decided to roast a chicken or something. I was tormented by the smell all evening. I couldn’t fall asleep until like 2 0r 3 last night, I felt like demons were gnawing at the inside of my stomach.

On the bright side, I did my first weigh in… And after 4 days of eating nothing but raw food, I’ve managed to lose 5 pounds.

Daily intake: I woke up late today, and didn’t have much of a Breakfast. Here’s what I’ve had today so far.


  • 3 eggs


  • Raw Broccoli:
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Baby Carrots and Spinach
  • 3 pcs of Salmon Sashimi

I feel like I’m running out of meal ideas, so I have no idea what I’ll have for dinner. I checked the innernette, but got side tracked by a site that makes wigs exclusively for pets

Day Three

I finally made it to day 3. I feel dizzy and unreasonably angry. Then I found some rad Louis Wain prints online and felt a little better…



Here’s what I’ve had to eat so far:


  • 1 Orange
  • 2 Fiji Apples
  • 3 Eggs


  • Carrot,  Apple,  Cherry Smoothie


  • Salmon and Yellow Tail Sashimi
  • Salad wif walnuts, oranges, plum tomatoes

Beginning of the end.


This blog is dedicated to two of my favorite things #1 cats, and #2 eating raw (a new and possibly short lived goal). The title of this blog was to originally be BBQ and Cats, but due to a lifeshaking revelation, It will now be focused on raw food and anything dealing with cat culture.


Raw Food:

I’ve decided to eat raw for all wrong reasons. Not because I think meat eating is cruel, not because of the health benefits. Mainly because I’m 25 pounds overweight and need a ticket out of Chubbsville…

I will share my diet and progress (failures as well) with you. And try to log my daily intake of raw food.

Here’s what I’ve had today so far.


  • 1 banana
  • 2 eggs (raw) for protein

Mid Morning:

  • 6 pieces of watermelon
  • lots of raw water


  • baby spinach
  • plum tomatoes
  • broccoli
  • baby carrots
  • raw cashews (actually better than roasted)
  • more raw water


  • Carrots and Bananasasas
